School Rebuild

We are currently assisting with the rebuild project at the Ebeye SDA school.

Originally condemned; this three-story school that was built in the 80's was preparing to shut its doors due to the falling concrete ceilings, but due to the persistence of the principle Raian Villacruel and some temporary solutions being put in place, the doors remained open for the students that attend there. In essence a brand-new school is being built from the footings up inside the existing walls of the old school.

This project will be ongoing for years to come as funds and labor aren't always available immediately. However, the staff and students have faith that God will continue to provide and their school will not only remain open but will one day be complete with no more worries about the school's future or the education received by the students in generations to come.

Some of Our Sponsored Children

Tuition Assistance Program

Tuition assistance is in great demand to help our children succeed. Currently we are working with many church run schools on Ebeye Island to include The Calvary school, Queen of Peace Catholic elementary school, the Ebeye SDA school and the Protestant school. With the public schools being grossly overcrowded, room is limited which leads the families to seek private schooling for their children out of necessity. Unfortunately, most parents cannot afford the tuition, leaving children without a formal education and a way to further their financial situations as adults. By most countries standards, the tuition is relatively inexpensive. For as little as 500.00 per year (or 42.00 per month) per child (depending on the school) children are provided every educational need to better themselves. And on a 1 mile long by 800-yard- wide island that houses over 17,000 people with 60% of the residents being under the age of 18, the need is great!

Past Supplies Sent

Donating Supplies

A great way to get involved is through school supply donations. Currently all school supplies are needed. From pencils and pens to paper and books. From art supplies to gym supplies. and everything in-between.

Electronic equipment is also in huge demand. Computers, printers, tablets...you name it, they can use it.

A great way to donate other than supplying the funding for these products is to buy them on Amazon. They are one of the few companies that ship most items to the Marshall Islands. Shipping is fair considering that the items are flown to Hawaii and then sent out by ship to the islands. However, the process takes 3 to 4 weeks, so plan those holiday supplies accordingly.

We are also able to ship most items, but because of our volume being low, our charges are more.

If interested in donating this way, please contact us for a list of needs and the addresses of the schools you would like to support.

Students and Missionaries

Mission Trip from Ebeye to the USA

We are currently raising funds for a summer mission trip for several of the students and missionaries to visit the East Coast. The plan is to have the children perform musically at churches and other events in conjunction with a presentation on Ebeye to include short films and pictures along with commentary on the island and the many challenges that face the Marshallese people on a daily basis to include, overcrowding, health issues, water shortages, and many other associated topics.

Along with these presentations we would also like to plan a trip to Washington DC for political and educational awareness. Also, trips to many locations in the area such as the mountains, coast, museums, Zoo's and other adventures that are rarely, if ever experienced by these students.

Finally, we would like to visit different levels of educational institutes from grade schools to colleges and universities so that the students can encounter forms of academics that may be available to them through exchange programs.
